Age guidelines for appropriate dance level:

Pom Technique/Dance Team Prep

Middle & high schoolers

Group Class = $40/month

Each additional class = $25/month

Family/Multi-Student Discounts

2 Students = $10 off combined monthly fee

3 Students = $20 off combined monthly fee

4 Students = $30 off combined monthly fee

Costume Fee = $50/class (Due by the end of November)

Preferred payment method is by cash or check.

If tuition is paid in full at the beginning of the year, you will receive a $20 discount! These can be turned in at Registration Night (August 28 - 6:30-8pm) or at your child's first class.

If tuition is paid monthly, it is due the 1st week of every month at your child's class.

We would love to have your children dance with us so if payment arrangements are needed, we would be more than willing to work with you!

1. Please arrive on time to all dance classes. Classes will start on time and students should be ready to dance at the allotted time.
2. Students should use the restroom BEFORE entering the studio.
3. NO FOOD OR GUM allowed inside the studio. Only water in a sealed water bottle is permitted.
4. All students must be in proper dance attire to participate in dance classes (See Dress Code tab in Classes & Tuition)
5. Please avoid walking into the studio with dirty shoes.
6. Please keep jewelry and valuables at home. Raven School of Dance is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
7. Parents must remain outside of the studio while classes are in session. Only parents with special permission will be allowed to attend classes with their child.
8. Please notify your instructor if your child will not be in class.
9. Any student with attitudes that are disrespectful, uncooperative, or aggressively competitive will receive one warning from the Director. If problems still continue to exist, the student will be dismissed from the studio.
10. There will be no hanging, playing, sitting, or climbing on the portable ballet barres.
11. Students should not touch the gym equipment stored on the sides of the studio.
12. All cell phones must be turned off and put away during class. Only with special permission from the instructor will cell phones be allowed to be taken out.

Student Discipline: The Raven School of Dance reserves the right to dismiss any child from the studio with numerous disciplinary problems. In the case of a dismissal, the student will receive no tuition reimbursement.

Inclement Weather Policy: In the event of Atchison Public School cancellation due to inclement weather, Raven School of Dance classes will be cancelled as well. The Raven School of Dance reserves the right to reschedule any classes. If a dancer is unsure of whether classes are in session or not, please call Elyse's cell phone at (316) 641-3414.

Payment: Tuition is due the 1st of every month. Class fees may be found in this packet and on the Classes & Tuition page. Any payment after the 1st of the month is subject to a late fee of $5. The Raven School of Dance prides itself in being the lowest costing dance studio in the Atchison, St. Joseph, and Kansas City area. To help us keep our costs down, please make your payments on time. The Raven School of Dance reserves the right to dismiss any student who is 3 months behind on payment.

Recital: Students must be present in classes 2 weeks leading up to the Spring Recital (not including Easter break if applicable). Students are required to be at both the Dress Rehearsal and the Recital. A parent should notify the Director and their child's instructor immediately if a child is unable to attend. The instructors rely on every child being in the performance.

Holiday Breaks: Because our instructors are college students, the studio will run in accordance to Benedictine College's school breaks. Holiday breaks are listed on the important dates sheet.

Attendance, Illness, or Injury: Attendance is imperative for consistent progress. If a student is going to be absent from class due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact the Director or your instructor and leave a message before class time. If students know in advance that they will be absent from class, please let the Director or your instructor know before the day of the class. If students are too ill to participate in class, they should remain at home and rest. If they are injured, they should come to class and observe. Many students find that they learn more from observing class. This will also keep them apprised of the class's progress.
